Salvation Army came today and hauled off all my baby things (sans the ones I gave to my sister in law:) Besides being grateful to de-clutter and clean out before our crazy rainy season that started today. I felt like I needed to tell the donation guy, "Take care of those things...make sure they find a good home....there are many memories wrapped up in that boppy, tricycle, potty seat, backpack!!!" But alas, it is time for me to move on. Embrace my new season. Do you see a reoccurring theme here? My kids are getting older. My job is changing. We are out more than we are in. Nevertheless, some things are staying the same. We are clinging to our breakfast time devotions, cuddles on the couch, afternoon snacks, strolling our baby dolls, reading books aloud, and backrubs at bedtime. Bart and I are trying to relish in the laughter, exhaustion, and drama.

  1. You have such a way to write...I can feel that moment even though it is still 5 years away for us. That is going to be sad...can't believe you are already there! I am getting a glimpse (albeit a small one) with Luke in preschool. We are gone more with the driving and picking up. Lately I have been soaking up the mornings we don't have to rush to go anywhere. Makes me realize that it will fly by like everyone says. Thanks for helping me see this:) Love you! Love the pictures you sent today!
